Lynchburg Celebrates 30th Year in Tree City USA Program



As Earth Day gets closer the city of Lynchburg does its part in helping the environment by participating in the Tree City USA program for its 30th year and they want YOU to help celebrate too!

You are invited to celebrate the big anniversary at the city’s Arbor Day celebration this Saturday, where you can get a free lunch and a few other things.

Lynchburg enjoys the status of Tree City USA, because it has a staff person who devotes his time to urban forestry and because it has a tree care ordinance, a community forestry program with a budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
